“Some days I didn’t know how to get through the morning, let alone the week. My Home-Start volunteer was the only person I felt I could open up to. She helped me believe I could be a good mum again.”

This summer, children and young people across Trafford, Salford and Wigan are swapping screen time for kindness — taking on boredom-busting challenges to raise vital funds for Home-Start Trafford, Salford and Wigan.
From trampoline-a-thons and dog walks to car washes and 1,000-cartwheel challenges, they’re using their time, energy and imagination to help make sure no family faces hard times alone.

Why We’re Raising Money
Every day, Home-Start supports local families who are struggling — whether that’s with mental health, loneliness, financial worries, or the pressure of raising young children without a support network.
