Support and friendship for families

Parents supporting parents - a simple idea that really works!

Get help

In light of the recent Government announcements on minimising the spread of Covid- 19, Home-Start Trafford, Salford & Wigan have made the difficult decision to suspend home- visiting support to families.

We understand this is a worrying time for the families we help, and as such we want to make sure that we can assist them as best we can, so we are currently offering telephone support to our parents, where possible.

We can assure you, whilst working differently, our staff team and volunteer army are still helping families as best we can.

Home-Start Trafford, Salford, Wigan

We provide support and friendship for families who are struggling to cope with a wide of range of situations such as loneliness, mental ill health, disabilities, multiple children, and increasing poverty and debt, support is provided to help prevent crisis and family breakdown.

We recruit, train and support volunteers who are parents from the local community, to visit families in their own homes for 2-3 hours per week in order to provide practical help and emotional support to families. More here
