Our Home-Start volunteers offer much appreciated support, friendship and practical help to families with young children and represent a lifeline for families finding it hard to cope. We understand our new volunteers may have some trepidation about what is expected from them, which is why we train and prepare them before being accepted as a home-visiting volunteer.
Our course has two objectives:
Our course is designed to be informative and fun as well as to answer any questions you may have. Subjects covered include:
By the end of the course you will have a better insight into the work of Home-Start and feel well prepared for home-visiting.
All expenses incurred both during the preparation course and on home-visiting are reimbursed.
All volunteers can expect the continued support of the Managing Director, Co-ordinators and the Board of Trustees.
Our next courses will take place on the following dates:
June 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th and 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 15th & 16th July 2019 from 6pm to 9pm at The People’s Church, Chapel Lane, Partington, M31 4EY
September 5th, 6th, 11th, 13th, 18th & 19th from 9:30am to 2:45pm each day at Eccles Gateway, 28 Barton Road, Eccles, M30 0TU
